Today, there was a meeting with heads of media holdings and chief editors of leading media outlets, timed to coincide with the Day of Mass Media Workers in the General Prosecutor's Office.
First Deputy General Prosecutor Berik Asylov warmly welcomed the guests, noted the role and importance of the journalistic profession in modern society.
“Your mission is not easy, but very noble. Stability in society and expansion of the social support of the creative processes in it depend on the professionalism of each of you, ”he said.
According to the speaker, the Kazakh media have always been characterized by the speed and impartiality of providing information, a deep analysis of current events.
Highlighting the readiness of the prosecution authorities for further cooperation, the first deputy head of the ministry called on the heads of the media for mutual support and understanding in the matters of covering information, the publicity of which is limited by the norms of criminal procedure legislation.
As was noted, this is primarily done in the interests of protecting the rights and freedoms of the citizens themselves, including to avoid pressure on the court and investigative bodies, to create equal conditions for the parties to prove their position.
B. Asylov also briefly informed about the measures taken by the prosecution authorities in the interests of citizens and the state.
Then there was a constructive exchange of views, during which representatives of the media expressed appreciation for the attention and hope for further fruitful cooperation.
At the end of the event, B. Asylov once again congratulated the guests on their professional holiday and on behalf of the General Prosecutor handed them memorable gifts, as well as letters of thanks to the creative media teams.
